The farm was granted by the United State Government to the family in 1837.  We have the pleasure of owning 17 acres of the original farm.  Since building our home here in 2000 we have salvaged barnwood from 100 year old barns in Brown County to erect the barns we have built on the property.  We like the idea of being as self sufficient as possible.  

Rick has been a deputy sheriff for Brown County for 15 years and I have been with the sheriff's office for 12 years. I have been the coordinator for 911/dispatch for the last 7 years.  We have very busy lives and love all of our labors. 

 Rick is running for sheriff in the 2010 election so our lives are just going to get a lot busier!
