The farm was granted by the United State Government to the family in 1837.  We have the pleasure of owning 17 acres of the original farm.  Since building our home here in 2000 we have salvaged barnwood from 100 year old barns in Brown County to erect the barns we have built on the property.  We like the idea of being as self sufficient as possible.
